In-use foreign investment up 9.48%

Chinanews��April 13 - According to statistics from the Ministry of
Commerce, in the first three months of 2005, 9,305 new foreign-invested
enterprises were set up, down 9.15% year-on-year; contracted foreign
investment reached 35.218 billion US dollars, while in-use foreign
investment reached 13.39 billion US dollars, up 4.5% and 9.48%
year-on-year, respectively.
By the end of last year, registered foreign invested enterprises in
operation totaled nearly 280,000, and the accumulated volume of the
actual absorption of foreign investment stood at 213.29 billion US
dollars.
