Boat Festival draws crowd

The Jiangyan Qin Tong Boat Festival, cited by the China National Tourism
Administration as one of China's top ten folk custom festivals, held its
opening ceremony on beautiful Qin Lake yesterday Apr. More than 500 boats
and over 10,000 contestants participated in the festival. Businesspersons
and visitors from the U.S., Canada, Belgium and other countries and
regions and over 100,000 local residents flocked to the lake for the
spectacular view of the "World's No. 1 Boat Festival."
