First International Cartoon and Comics Festival

Chinanews, Hangzhou, Mar. 17 (By Lin Lulu) - Hangzhou, capital city of
East China's Zhejiang province and also famous for its beautiful West
Lake, beat eight other Chinese cities to win the bid to host the First
International Cartoon and Comics Festival.
The festival, hosted by the State Administration of Radio Film and TV and
the Zhejiang provincial government and undertaken by the municipal
government of HangZhou city and other related units, will be launched in
June this year.As one of the first bases of the cartoon and comics
industry, Hangzhou has made an early start. Now Hangzhou already enjoys
great advantages in terms of talents, creativity, planning, organization,
technologies, facilities, capital resources and as well as management
expertise.
